With a career spanning 12 studio albums, six Australian Top-50 albums, five ARIA nominations, and four AIR Award nominations, along with two APRA Awards and recognition as Best International Act at the LA Music Critic Awards in 2014, Grunwald has cemented his status as one of Australia’s most exciting and entertaining live musicians.
He is known for collaborations with notable Australian artists such as Josh Teskey and Kasey Chambers. His album “Push The Blues Away” with Josh Teskey hit #8 on the ARIA charts and toured sold out theatres including The Forum, Melbourne Recital Centre & Sydney Recital Hall in 2020.
Throughout his career, Ash has supported musical legends like James Brown, The Black Keys, Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, and Keith Urban. He has also played sold out festivals across Europe, Japan, and North America, as well as received 10 invitations to Australia’s renowned festival, Bluesfest.
In 2019, Ash released his first literary work, Surf By Day, Jam By Night, published by Pantera Press. This journey, featuring contributions from Kelly Slater, Stephanie Gilmore, Dave Rastavich, Pete Murray, and Jack Johnson, has sold over 10,000 copies in Australia.
