Thursday, November 28 features a triple-headline show with three of this year’s hottest bands: Big Special (UK), Radio Free Alice (AU), and Sex Mask (AU).
Big Special, a punk duo from the UK, explores the raw honesty of a nation in a constant state of flux. Fresh from a UK tour, a new album release, and a history-making performance at Glastonbury, they bring unfiltered honesty, biting humor, and spoken-word grit to their Australian debut.
Radio Free Alice, hailing from Eora and based in Naarm, is quickly making waves in the punk scene with their emotional edge and nostalgic sound. Their music blends the essence of early 2000s indie—drawing influences from bands like The Strokes, The Libertines, and Arctic Monkeys—with a fresh perspective, delivering hard-hitting riffs and memorable lyrics.
Sex Mask, a Naarm-based trio, combines postmodern elements with a raw indie energy. Their sound mixes vague pop and shoegaze, creating a compelling experience that leaves audiences eager for more.
Finely Tuned and Pav Modern, known for championing hot acts across Australia, promise an unforgettable night as we transition into the warmer months. Join us for an exhilarating party this November!
Thursday, November 28 sees two of Australia’s finest independent party purveyors - Finely Tuned and Pav Modern - combine to bring you a triple-headline show starring three of this year’s hottest bands: Big Special (UK), Radio Free Alice (AU) and Sex Mask (AU). Perched upon the precipice of globe-trotting indie-domination sit Big Special, two punks determined to explore the bleak and beautiful honesty of a nation in an ever-growing state of depression. Fresh off a UK tour, a new album and a history-making set at Glastonbury, they bring a helping of unfiltered honesty, a shot of biting humour and mouthfuls of spoken-word grit to Australia’s shores for the very first time. Radio Free Alice are your new favourite band. These Eora-born, Naarm-based lads are quickly stirring things up in the punk scene with their emotional edge and nostalgic sound. Blending the best of early 2000s indie (think The Strokes, The Libertines and The Arctic Monkeys) with unique new take, RFA deliver riffs that hit hard and lyrics that linger. Come for the classic alt-punk vibes, stay for the boundless energy and anthemic tunes. Is Sex Mask an egocentric attempt at being heard while saying almost nothing? Maybe—but they sure make it look good. Part postmodern riddle, part manifesto; this alt-rock Naarm-based threepiece are on the rise, blending ‘vague pop’, shoegaze and a contagious raw indie energy that’ll leave you wanting more. Between them, Finely Tuned (creators of the 4-day musical odyssey, Lost Paradise) and Pav Modern (Unpopular, Vivid, Modular) have been at the bleeding edge of curating and championing many of the world’s hottest acts across Australia. As we head towards the warmer months, these shows are set to be the hottest ticket in town. Grab yours, grab a mate and join us for one hell of a party this November.
