UK mega band Busted is heading to Australia this October and November, bringing along special guests Between You & Me.
Formed in 2000 in Essex, Busted quickly made waves with their debut single 'What I Go To School For,' which reached #3 on the UK charts. From 2000 to 2003, the band released a string of hits, including four #1 singles: 'Crashed The Wedding,' 'Thunderbirds Are Go,' and 'You Said No,' along with Top #3 singles 'Year 3000,' 'Air Hostess,' and 'Sleeping With The Light On.' Busted has sold over 5 million records worldwide with their four studio albums, and they've received two BRIT awards.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Busted reunited last year, releasing their 'Greatest Hits 2.0' album, which debuted as the UK’s #1 Album in September. Their tour was the biggest UK Arena tour of 2023, attracting over 200,000 fans. The album features collaborations with artists like Simple Plan, All Time Low, and HANSON, and includes a new track titled 'Good One.' In January 2024, the band released a live and extended version of the album, which includes the new song 'One Of These Days.'
Busted expressed their excitement about playing in Australia for the first time, stating, “It’s gonna be mega! Let’s jump around and lose our minds!!! Busted are fully back!” Over the years, they've influenced many artists, including Good Charlotte, Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi, 5 Seconds Of Summer, and The Vamps. The Jonas Brothers even covered Busted’s 'Year 3000' on their debut album, which sold over 1 million copies.
Joining them on tour will be Australian alternative group Between You & Me, known for their signature Pop-Punk sound. This tour promises to be an incredible event, attracting both Australian fans and expatriates nationwide.
