Join Bentley's Camera House and Nikon Australia for a hands-on photography session at the historic Shorncliffe Pier. Led by Nikon School lecturer and landscape photographer Marissa Knight, this class is perfect for beginner to intermediate photographers looking to enhance their skills.

The session begins with photographing a reverse sunset and transitions into capturing the blue hour, providing a variety of lighting conditions. Participants will learn how to achieve optimal exposure, master composition techniques, and utilize their camera’s histogram for balanced shots. The session will also delve into slow shutter and long exposure photography, allowing for stunning images of the pier lights against the evening sky.

Recommended Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Topics Covered: - Optimal camera settings - Composition techniques and tips - Understanding the camera's histogram for balanced exposure - Slow shutter and long exposure tips

What to Bring: - Mirrorless or DSLR camera - Fully charged battery (spares recommended) - Empty memory cards - Tripod (a necessity) - Variety of lenses (covering wide to long focal lengths, e.g., 14-24, 24-70, 70-200) - Remote trigger or camera timer for long exposures into blue hour - Appropriate clothing for weather (warm clothes, rain jacket, comfortable shoes) - Water and snacks (optional)

A selection of Nikon Z series cameras and NIKKOR Z lenses will be available for trial during the session, along with a Nikon representative to answer questions.

Every participant will receive a $99 voucher for use toward Nikon products at Bentley's Camera House, valid for seven days after the event.
