The dress code for High Tea is smart casual. A valid photo ID is required for entry to the precinct, and it's recommended to arrive 10 minutes before your booking time for security and registration processing.
Guests will enter the Parliamentary Precinct via the Parliamentary Annexe on Alice St, where they will be escorted to the Strangers’ Restaurant by a member of staff. Tours last approximately 30 minutes and guests will be collected from the restaurant.
Parking arrangements are the responsibility of the guests, as there is no visitor parking available at Queensland Parliament House. The closest paid parking facilities are next door at QUT.

What do I need to bring with me? Queensland Parliament House is a working parliament, as such strict security procedures are in place. All attendees must providevalid photo IDupon entry to the precinct. What time should I arrive? Please arrive 10 minutes before your selected booking time for security and registration processing, guests will be escorted by Parliamentary staff from the foyer. How do I find the Strangers’ Restaurant? Guests must enter the Parliamentary Precinct via the Parliamentary Annexe, located on Alice St. For security reasons, guests are not permitted to leave the Annexe foyer area without an escort. A member of staff will collect guests from the foyer of the Parliamentary Annexe and escort them to the Strangers’ Restaurant. Do I need to book the tour of Parliament House? Yes, due to restricted numbers on tours you will need to select a time when purchasing your tickets. Tours run for approximately 30 minutes and guests will be collected from the restaurant. What are my parking options during the event? Guests arriving by car must make their own parking arrangements, as there is no visitor parking available at Queensland Parliament House. The closest paid parking facilities are located next door at QUT. What is the refund policy? We are more than happy to refund purchased tickets until 7 days prior to the event. Guests who wish to cancel their ticket after this time can transfer their paid seat to another available High Tea date at no extra cost. No refunds or transfers are available within 48 hours of the event. What is the dress code? The dress code for High Tea is smart casual. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, your ticket is not needed as guest names and contact details must be submitted during the ticket purchase process.
