Multi-platinum selling rock band Crowded House has announced their 2024 Australia and New Zealand – Gravity Stairs Tour in support of their new album, set to release globally on Friday, May 31. The highly anticipated tour kicks off on Saturday, November 9 in Wellington and wraps up in Brisbane on December 14, 2024.
Neil Finn expressed excitement about the upcoming tour, stating, "So looking forward to getting amongst our people having practiced in the northern hemisphere for a few months. The band will be running hot and we can’t wait to sing with you and elevate our collective spirits. Sing it if you want to be a part of Some Greater Plan."
The album title, Gravity Stairs, was inspired by a heavy stone staircase near Finn's vacation spot. He describes it as symbolic of the struggle to ascend, reflecting the opposing forces in the mechanics of living.
Crowded House has sold over 15 million records worldwide, earning accolades such as a Brit Award, 13 Australian ARIA Awards, 3 Aotearoa Music Awards, and an MTV VMA. With billions of streams and a track record of sold-out tours across multiple continents, the band captivates audiences.
