During the class, you will learn how to transfer your drawn design onto a soft block, carve it, and test it on paper, card stock, and cotton fabric to build your confidence. The workshop will then proceed to creating prints on linen tea-towels or placemats using high-quality, solvent-free fabric paint in a variety of colors. You will also learn how to mix colors and add special effects to enhance your design.
All tools, instructions, and materials will be provided. By the end of the workshop, you will take home your own freshly carved print block, a hand-printed card, a cotton tote bag, and a choice of either two linen tea-towels or two linen placemats. Additional tea towels and placemats will be available for purchase at the Studio.

Then we will proceed onto linen tea-towels or linen placemats using high-quality, solvent-free fabric paint (available in a variety of luscious colours) Learn how to mix colours and add special effects to enhance your design. All tools, instructions and materials will be provided in class. At the end of the workshop, you'll be going home with your own freshly carved print block, a hand printed card, cotton tote bag and a choice of either two linen tea-towels or two linen placemats. Additional tea towels and place mats will be available for purchase at my Studio. Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run.
