We are excited to invite our members to a delightful morning tea with our special guest Laurie Podmore, son of the legendary Australian jockey George Podmore, who famously won the 1956 Melbourne Cup riding 'Evening Peel'. Laurie will share heartfelt stories about his father and both their intriguing riding careers, along with showcasing Melbourne Cup memorabilia. This exclusive event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Laurie and gain a unique perspective on racing history.
Members will also have the chance to enjoy an up-close view of the course proper, accompanied by progression talks from Racing Manager Ian Brown.
