Brazilian Music Award-winning trio Gilsons is a family band comprised of Francisco, João, and José Gil, the sons and grandsons of the legendary Gilberto Gil. They blend pop rock, samba, rap, and Bahian rhythms, with a strong influence from MPB, Gilberto's primary genre. Following a successful series of singles, including "Várias Queixas" and "Devagarinho," they released their debut album, Pra Gente Acordar, which was nominated for the Latin GRAMMY for Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese. The trio has performed at major festivals across Brazil, including Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio, and this performance marks their Australian debut.
