Bird's Robe is thrilled to announce the debut Australia and New Zealand tour of acclaimed Irish post-rock group GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT. The band will perform shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, and Wellington in February 2025.
Known globally for their extraordinary live performances, God Is An Astronaut has been a major influence in the experimental rock scene for the past two decades. Their sound spans a broad range of genres, including psych rock, krautrock, prog, electronica, and world music. They have released eleven studio albums to date, and their latest record, ‘Embers,’ was recently acclaimed as a captivating sonic voyage with a wide variety of instrumentation.
Support for this landmark tour in Australia comes from Sydney instrumental quartet SOLKYRI, who are celebrating the release of their latest record ‘Cranebrook,’ and Melbourne shoegaze group TREEBEARD, who are touring in support of their new album ‘Snowman.’ Solkyri is known for their powerful live performances and has maintained a dedicated following since their debut in 2010. Treebeard is building a formidable reputation for their moody and intense sound, following performances with Russian Circles and Khan in 2024.
