Bristol dance music legend Jody Wisternoff has announced his highly-anticipated third studio album, 'Welcome To My World'. This announcement comes alongside the release of the album's lead single 'Mui', a collaboration with James Grant, PROFF, and Takeshi Furukawa, featuring the evocative vocals of Siobhan Wilson.
Wisternoff has been a pivotal figure in the UK's rave scene since the early '90s, known for his keen ear for talent and for shaping the sound of the Anjunadeep label. His career began in 1986 at the age of 13 as a finalist in the DMC World DJ Championship. He quickly became a mainstay of the UK rave scene, performing at legendary venues like the Lakota club in Bristol and for iconic promoters such as Fantazia and Universe.
A chance meeting with Nick Warren in a record store led to the formation of Way Out West, the pioneering duo behind several UK-charting singles, including the UK dance number one hit 'Mindcircus'. Their 1997 self-titled album received both critical acclaim and commercial success. Two decades later, their Anjunadeep album 'Tuesday Maybe' became a favorite among fans, featuring popular reworks from renowned electronic artists like Guy J and Ben Böhmer.
