Kate Miller-Heidke is an award-winning singer-songwriter who spans the genres of pop, folk, opera, and musical theatre. She has graced stages such as Coachella, the Grand Ole Opry, New York Metropolitan Opera, Eurovision Song Contest, Sydney Opera House, TV’s The Voice, and the Roebuck Bay Hotel in Broome.
Known as a born storyteller, her music draws on narrative traditions of folk, the drama of opera, and the influences of great singer-songwriters in pop. Kate weaves tales that explore themes of humor and pain, intimacy and grandeur, joy and regret, childhood and ghosts. She crafts powerful narratives, bringing to life characters like James, who faces bullying, Sarah, who has gone missing, and Muriel, who is discovering her own strength.
