Overview

Come and enjoy everything from opera and pop to hymns and musical numbers, along with classical soprano arias! The Men’s Shed Chorale is a group of senior men passionate about producing great choral music. Formed in 2012, the choir originated from a small gathering of men who wanted to sing in a relaxed atmosphere. Their goal is to create high-quality music while fostering a social environment.

Initially, the group gathered around a piano in one of the men’s homes, but it has since evolved into a choir that has performed over 150 concerts throughout the Sydney area. Under the leadership of a talented young conductor and accompanist, the choir will present a diverse array of wonderful music.

Joining them is Natalia Melnik, who specializes in coloratura arias and Russian music. She performs in numerous recitals throughout the year and has been a soloist in various concerts in Russia and Europe. Natalia currently teaches at the Sydney Conservatorium Open Academy while conducting doctoral research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She works with students of all ages, including children with autism.
