The Melancholiac - An amalgamation of UK progressive rock and Aussie garage punk, this young Brisbane quartet passionately combines mesmerizing musicianship with incomparable stage presence. Vicious tones and guttural hooks blend with meticulous polyrhythms and interludes, topped off with unforgettable vocal melodies. The charming chemistry between four high school mates adds to their dynamic skill and relentless energy.

Call the Mourning - This Meanjin/Brisbane alternative rock band features Constance Grafos on vocals/guitar, Lachie Grumley on bass, and Dominic Willimott on drums. Formed in August 2023 after various long-term projects, they released their debut single "Attention" in December 2023, which premiered on UK radio station ERB Radio.

The Phosphenes - Hailing from Caboolture, this power trio delivers a delicious blend of punk, power pop, and garage grunge. With a raw and punchy sound complemented by thoughtful and youthful lyrics, they provide a fresh and energetic experience. Since uniting in February 2022, they've made their mark across the South East Queensland scene, known for their ultra-tight musicianship and electrifying performances in various venues.

The Chimpeltons - Three enthusiasts of all things fast and loud, with over three years of collaboration with SCHEMA, come straight from Meanjin (Brisbane) and embody the heart and soul of fun and messy performances.
