In support of their forthcoming EP, Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be, set for release on September 27, The Rions are embarking on a huge 21-date Australian tour kicking off this October. They have already achieved 11 sold-out shows in 2024 and are set to undertake their first-ever UK and Europe tour with mates Pacific Avenue.
Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be follows their widely-acclaimed debut EP, Minivan, released in 2023. This five-track project chronicles their transformation from high school ones-to-watch to the self-assured band they’ve become, capturing themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. The band expresses, “For our second EP, we wanted to approach it with raw authenticity. This is the most genuine we’ve ever been with our stories, and we’re thrilled to share it with you all.”
The upcoming EP includes their newest track, “Time Will Try,” along with recent hits “Sweet Cocoon” and “Physical Medicine,” both of which peaked at #1 on triple j’s Most Played Tracks and received extensive media support from Rolling Stone Australia, NME, The Music, iHeartRadio, and Ones To Watch, among others.
