The Lyric Theatre is our largest venue, ideal for opera, ballet, and large-scale theatre productions, including musicals. With a capacity of 2,000 seats, the theatre's traditional horseshoe shape offers a stunning view of the city skyline from the riverside foyer. Inside, the auditorium features continental seating across the stalls and two levels of balconies, providing excellent access and seating options for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.

Renowned for its exceptional acoustics, spacious main and rear stages, and orchestra pit, the Lyric Theatre is a favourite for both local and international performers, offering an unforgettable atmosphere for every performance.

When you visit, the foyers open 90 minutes before the show, allowing plenty of time to explore and get comfortable. For parking, the closest options are the Performing Arts Car Park or the Art Gallery/Museum car park, both conveniently nearby.
