Born in New York, Bob began his musical journey in the hardcore punk scene, founding the renowned Minneapolis punk band Hüsker Dü in 1979. After the band's breakup in 1988, he launched his solo career with "Workbook" in 1989, which spent 14 weeks on the charts, featuring the Top Ten modern rock hit, “See A Little Light.” He went on to form Sugar in 1992, with their debut album "Copper Blue" becoming his most successful project to date.
