Overview

Loose Content is a three-piece indie/alt-rock band from the hinterland of Byron Bay. The band was formed during high school by close friends MiLLa (bass and vocals), Sam Sanders (guitar), and Aquila Porter (drums & backing vocals).

By the age of 18, Loose Content had already made a mark on the stages of notable Aussie festivals, including Byron Bay Bluesfest and Woodford Folk Festival. They have also supported respected national acts such as Magic Dirt, The Cruel Sea, The Vanns, and Rum Jungle.

Recently relocated to their spiritual home of Naarm/Melbourne, Loose Content is following in the footsteps of influential bands like The Birthday Party and The Drones. Their sound is a mix of pop, punk, art, indie, and rock, drawing inspiration from artists like The Police, Radiohead, Courtney Barnett, and deep cut Talking Heads.

The band has completed recording their debut album with US producer Nick DiDia at Brooklet Recording Studios, known for working with Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen, and Powderfinger. They will be performing at SxSW Sydney in 2024.
