Overview

Handsome Tours & Double J are proud to present the long-awaited return of Waxahatchee to Australia in 2024! The moniker of one of the hardest-working singer-songwriters in the game, Katie Crutchfield, was born in Alabama, grew up near Waxahatchee Creek, and later embarked on her journey as Waxahatchee over a decade ago.

Crutchfield has released six critically acclaimed albums and has never felt more confident in her artistry. Her sound has evolved from lo-fi folk to lush alt-tinged country, while her voice remains honest and intimate, characterized by poetic Southern lilts.

"Saint Cloud" was a breakthrough album for Waxahatchee, released during the height of the pandemic. It entered #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and reached the Top 10 on the Emerging Artist chart, being critically praised as a much-needed musical escape and solidifying her as a vital voice in the indie-Americana scene.
